Lillian H. Mueller
Lillian H. Mueller (born July 21, 1927) is an American author of children's literature who has written more than twenty books, including the Little Black Fella and Song of the Swallow. A native of Massachusetts, Mueller has a master's degree in political science and worked for many years as a teacher before turning to writing full-time.
Mueller has received many awards including an Academy Award for her book, The Three Robbers. In addition, her books have been honored by the Boston Public Library and the Massachusetts Center for the Book.
